Hayden Backcountry Lodge is a Colorado retreat lodge tucked above Ouray in the Richmond Basin of the San Juan Mountains. Mount Hayden Backcountry Lodge is a 17-person mountain lodge tucked above Ouray, Colorado, in the Richmond Basin of the San Juan Mountains. Our mission is to create a Colorado retreat lodge where people reconnect with nature, one another, and themselves through shared time in an extraordinary landscape.

For some, that means earning fresh turns in the San Juan backcountry or setting out on an alpine trail. For others, it’s gathering a leadership team, bringing generations of family together, celebrating a milestone, creating alongside friends, or simply finding a few days without interruption.
